If you're attacked by a force which is not national in nature, then there's no way that attacking the nation's army is going to have any impact. And, by the way, much of the planning for the attacks took place on the Gulfcoast of Florida, not far from where I was living. So, in essence, I think your logic has us attacking Florida, and scooping up all those pesky Floridians as potential terrorists. Ridiculous. The point is, we need to go after the particular group, not a country. I think the point was that the attacks of 9/11 were not attacks BY a nation’s army.
