Ryan Powers, College of William and Mary ‘08: Ryan is editor and founder of The Body Politik. He is studying Government and History at William and Mary where he also serves as the Online Design Editor for the College’s online daily newspaper, the DoG Street Journal. He is a web designer and developer at the College’s Swem Library and has researched the World Bank for W&M’s Global Environmental Governance Project. Previously he interned for ThinkProgress.org, the blogging arm of the Center for American Progress.

Igor Volsky, Marist College ‘08: Igor is editor and founder of The Body Politik. He is studying History and Political Science at Marist College where he is a contributor to the Marist College newspaper, and the former host of Political Thought, the school’s weekly current events radio program. Ona Abderholden Keller, Wellesley ‘08: Ona is a senior Political Science major at Wellesley College. She has interned for Think Progress, SEIU, the League of Women Voters, and Grassroots Solutions. In her spare time, she enjoys playing music, volunteering for campaigns, and working on her Arabic. Previously she interned at ThinkProgress.org

Zach Marks, Yale University ‘08: Zach Marks is a contributor to The Body Politik. He is a junior at Yale University where he is majoring in Ethics, Politics, and Economics with an Urban Studies concentration. This summer, he interned at the Center for American Progress in Washington, D.C. Born and raised in Philadelphia, Zach writes a food column for the Yale Daily News which has been covered in The New York Times and on National Public Radio’s Here & Now. He serves as education policy director at The Roosevelt Institution, the nation’s first student think-tank, coordinating the efforts of students at about 50 colleges and universities to conduct policy research and draft policy proposals focusing on college accessibility. He also works in Yale’s Office of Undergraduate Admissions where he administers the Student Ambassador program which reaches out to low-income high school students to help them navigate the admissions process. This past year, Zach served as secretary of the Yale College Council, Yale’s student government, where he worked on issues ranging from University financial aid reform to economic development in New Haven. Zach enjoys competing in triathlons, cooking and sampling ethnic cuisines and exploring cities by foot.

Leah Greenberg, Carleton College, ‘08: Leah is a contributor to the Body Politik. Leah is currently a senior at Carleton College in Minnesota, where she is majoring in international relations. She has also studied at the University of St Andrews in Scotland. She has interned at the Center for American Progress, the Global Financial Integrity program of the Center for International Policy, and Physicians for Human Rights. Leah enjoys monster movies, taking pictures, and referring to herself in the third person.
